 Curtis Riggs is president of two related bus companies. VIA Adventures Inc. provides scheduled service to Yosemite National Park, and charter services in the western United States from offices in Merced, Calif. and Tempe, Ariz. Merced Transportation Company provides contract school bus service and public transit in the Merced County area. The two companies employ approximately 180 people. |
Riggs assumed management of the family-owned school bus business from his father in 1976, and founded VIA Charter Lines 1982. He is active in community and industry associations, and has served as a Director of both the California School Bus Contractors Association and the California Bus Association. A graduate of Stanford University, Curtis lives in Merced with his wife, Gaye, and their three daughters. |
